| 'IS THIS THE LAST KEFALONIA MAIL?'…………….
After almost ten years of publication this may well be the last edition of the Kefalonia
Mail. As the publisher, Editor, Copy boy, and Tea boy this is an article I have tried to avoid
writing.
All of those years ago when the first twenty copies of the Kefalonia Mail came hot from
my printer and were distributed over the bar at the ‘Queen Victoria Pub’ in Argostoli little
did I know that it would take off. Not only on the island, but back in the UK and as far as
the USA, Canada, South Africa and as far as Australia. Within a year I was posting out
across Kefalonia more than two hundred free copies, all supported by local advertisers.
Then within another couple of years the number of copies increased and we went out on the
internet care of ‘postmehome.com’. The newsletter became so popular that in order to cope
with the demand it was necessary to discontinue the paper copies posted to your doors and
continue in electronic format only. At last count there were over a thousand email recipients.
But it now appears that your newsletter is drawing to a close. Not that you don’t receive
and read it. Because you do. And you let me know. The reason for closing is..... |
IMPORTANT NEWS
Due to issues with our shared server provider and Spamhaus (anti
spamfilter) the newsletter emails may not be getting through to
any users with the following companies : OTENET, Hotmail, ntlworld,
btconnect, forthnet, virgin, optonline, any gov
or .ac.uk accounts.
Unfortunately we are caught in the middle of something unrelated
to us, if it is not resolved soon we will be publishing all the
informatin and considering moving Servers.
